I wanted to be …
silvery strings
and golden streams
of kisses breathed in
gossamer and refined
I wanted to be…
a Muse with butterfly’s wings
a devil whose body has no blemish
breathe instead of you even without breath
in wakeful nights to give you solace
I wanted to be …
a Vamp, to mingle blood with blood
to claw you as a savage
to teach you not to look back.
I wanted to be ….
the Lyre altered by your fingers
in a gentle chord
so that you could sing
into the universe without disgrace
I wanted to be….
Nova moon’s ballerina
dance on your body till I faint
reverse your hell of forgetting
I wanted ....
To be you... in you...
....thee
in a blare of meteors on stars
to make the bed
rise without reason...
in quiet…to smile
I wanted to conquer you
and be defeated ..
…I wanted to be yours ....
Ooooh, "To Be" just made me cry. That was beautiful. As are you... Do you ever miss someone you have never met? Will you be at Saint Hill in August for the Artist convention?
Hi Janaj-Yanay, I m sorry I don't write to you, because I was very bussy. I was meeting Pragua in 2003. It is very beatuiful city. I like Praga. My familly also. My mother and father 30 years ago met in Praga. My mother is from Poland, and father from Croatia. Today I rest and I have more time for writing. Have a nice day!
I don't know Helena's Czech name; she went by Wilson in Canada. Travelling Light was a book of my poems published in 1986 by Moonstone Press, with Helena's photos of Mohawk sculptures!!
Thank you so much for the welcome. Your paintings are gorgeous. I am just learning to paint in watercolor.
MY very best friend emigrated to the states when the Russians were moving in in 1968. MY children all have been to your country. My middle son painted cathedrals. He's been all over the world, and Chechoslovkia and Thailand were his favorites. Tell me---what price range are your paintings?
I went to Zimbabwe with him. He is the leading infectious disease doctor in the States. We worked for 5 weeks in a make-shift hospital, 100 beds, 125 degree weather, dirty sheets, no food, little water, and we brought enough meds and water to help these poor children, all dying of AIDS. Three were able to leave. The rest died while we were there. I am trying to recover the images and poems I wrote while I was there. It was a very humbling experience.
Do you happen to know Helena Wilson, Jana? A wonderful photographer who returned to Prague after many years in Canada. We did a book together, Travelling Light!

Thanks for having me on board. I noticed you live in Prague! I would love to visit there sometime, I am a big fan of Josef Sudek, The Poet of Prague I saw one of his photo exhibitions at the the M.F.A. here in Boston. Since then I have tried to make my photography as poetic as my verse.Hopefully better.
