I liked this a lot. Your rhymes are strong, plus the street imagery is honest and real. Good work.

The humiliation of self realization is my main concern when we as humans learn the ability to control our actions in regard to basic human rights it is sickening when i think of the injustices perpetrated the mental slavery is ridiculous drugs, sex,…

About Me:
i love god, family, friends, writing, art, and photography, AND I AM THE FOUNDER OF THE RACIAL UNITY GROUP WHICH IS GROWING WORLDWIDE ON SITES SUCH AS TBD, REDBUBBLE, BLACKPLANET, POETICWORKS,RABBLE, MTV, AND MANY MANY MORE. OUR MOTTO DON'T TALK ABOUT IT/ BE ABOUT IT. THIS SITE IS GROWING LARGER EVERYDAY. I am a firm believer in human rights, and the love of poetry. I am a aids activist, homeless activist, civil rights activist, and i will stand strong for my beliefs. My inspiration in the struggle against injustice is Martin Luther King Jr. and Steve Biko, Nelson Mandela, Malcolm X, Robert Kennedy, Ghandi, and a few more. I believe we are all created equal, and are blinded by foolish thoughts of superiority. Once we realize that it is how we think which creates this world we survve in, then and only then will we be able to solve problems such as the rainforest, global warming, warfare, and hypocrisy. HOMELESS

I wake up from a deep sleep on the concrete
wondering if today i’m gonna eat
tired feet hit the streets
searching for a nine to five
hoping i can stay alive
it’s rough but i’ve got to survive
hit the computers in the library
drop a few verses of poetry
talking to my fans who know of me
being homeless strenghtens my mentality
dealing with these streets my reality
washing up in the train station
giving my advice to the homeless nation
imagine waking up everyday with drug addicts
who can’t escape t… Continue

HOW IT USED TO BE

I seem to remember
those special days of youth
when we seldom spoke the truth
played so many silly games
called people so many names
so niave
it’s hard to believe

How it used to be
double dutch
hambone, hambone, have you heard
hide, and go seek
turned into basement parties
drunk nights, and a lot of i’m sorry
puppy love, and infatuation
civil rights, and a growing nation
we rebeled against all we could
proud of the labels in the hood
dressed to impress
we mirrored everything from soul power to… Continue

Racism

RACISM Author: KEITH R. WILLIAMS

It borders on morals
the lack there of
a belief of superiority
the majority, and minorities
suffering, pain, and ignorance
a common lack of intelligence
DNA says we are one
no matter color of hair, eyes, and skin
the battle is mentally within
the boundaries of yesterday
unthawing so that we can say
humans have truly overcame
the bitterness of our forefathers
not to embrace the past
but to take on the task of unity
not to follow the religious, or moral majority
t… Continue

the masterpeice

THE MASTERPEICE Author: KEITH R. WILLIAMS

It started as a symphony of pure elegance
a moment of undefined glory
your simple story
told to perfection
it described a royal vision
someones wisest decision
captured in a glimpse of a eye
a spark from cupid
as he sat on a shining star
laughing from afar
magically lips pressed time’s most precious moment
like grapes creating a fine wine
so intoxicated was i
in your arms was where i wanted to die
as if heaven was right there
imagine love beyond compare… Continue

Peace

Is it the escape of war
the joy of freedom
ectasy undescribed in survivors of POW camps
who tell gruesome tales of torture
ovens in concentration camps
lynching in southern trees
whips hitting south african children crying please
doves white with a olive branch
troops dying under the stench
of souls of ignorant leaders
amputated arms, and legs of foolish believers
children corrupted by national decievers
dictators who superpowers murder for oil
is it the blood, sweat, and toil
that prevents food… Continue
