I am a poet and fiction writer from the Bay Area. In 2007, Pudding House Publications released my latest chapbook, “Sh’ma Yis’rael.” I have been published extensively both online and off including in Bridges: A Jewish Feminist Journal, Women in Judaism, Paterson Literary Review, and Exquisite Corpse. I collaborated with musician Paul Kirk to produce "The Cellphone Poems," an exploration of the changing boundaries between public and private space, and also serve as the fiction editor of the November 3rd Club.
That last stanza pulls trhe whole poem into focus. Well done.
As for Beyond Baroque, we're moving ahead and doing our own preperations for Passover in the form of the Poets' Seder, a group Haggadah with individual contributions from the participating poets.
Chekhov List really evoked a lot of memories of my travels on Highway 5 over the years. I like all the particulars; they really bring the poem to life for me.
Yes, you have a gift and this is a treasure for us., and alghouth it is not sometimes appretiated as we would wish and people are so bussy to feed and protect body and half way dead some way th art is live watter to make them wake up and give him beauty and feeling of closseness and sometimes we need to rise our woices to enhance their awarness.. so keep your poetry alive too
Not quite sure how the threads are working here yet. But hello to all and thanks for your kind and encouraging words. I'm sitting here in my capacity as Webmaster for AC Transit in oakland, ca and feeling a bit overwhelmed this week with everything that needs to get posted. But it will happen, usually does. In the meantime, still glowing over my trip to Beyond Baroque in LA two weeks ago and the writer friends that I met there. Give me some time all, to sort through these wonderful exchanges across states and borders.
