A poet, short story writer, novelist, essayist, journalist, radio drama director. Published few books, and some prose in dozen Yugoslav (Serbian / Croatian / Bosnian / Macedonian) and foreign anthologies.

Album fotografija 1991 – 1993, novel, 2003.
Laka, crna zemlja, duodrama, (with Zrinka Dabelić) 2005.
Pisanje po vodi, novel, (with Elfrida Matuč–Mahulja) 2006.

1965 Born in Belgrade, Serbia, Former Yugoslavia.
1971-1976 Host in Radio Belgrade Children's programme.
1976-1983 Actor in Belgrade theatres KPGT, Atelje 212, Narodno pozorište, at Television Belgrade, as well as in couple of movies. Director's assistant at Radio Belgrade Drama programme.
Plays a piano and bass in jazz band.
Composing music for three theatre plays.
1983 Army service.
1984 Radio Belgrade «flying reporter».
Host of morning programme.
Started studies of Classical Archaeology and Cultural Anthropology, Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade.
1985 Founds Beogradsko čitalište – informal place for prose or poetry readings, exhibitions, concerts, and small plays.
First editor of Novine beogradskog čitališta.
1986 Lives in London, writing his first, yet unpublished novel A Jazz Novel, works as a chef in a French restaurants.
1987-1989 As a correspondent for Radio Belgrade and Belgrade daily «Politika» writes from Europe, Mediterranean, Near and Far East, Africa, former Soviet Union, Asia, and United States.
Stays outside his country for nearly two years. Writes as well for Yugoslav newsmagazines NIN, Vreme, Košava, Borba, Književne novine, Književna reč, Reč...
1990 After first signs of war in former Yugoslavia, starts working for YUTEL – Yugoslav Television. Reports from Belgrade, Sarajevo, and Zagreb.
1991 Lives a country. First to Greece, then Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, UK and US.
During emigration writes his first novel Slepi putnik. In Europe, works as a chef in restaurants, in US, works as an editor in publishing house GLG-Chicago.
1992 At the end of a year, returns to Serbia, and works as a journalist in Radio Belgrade. Fired because of anti-war commentary.
1993 Transfer to opposition Radio B92, for a position of World Service editor, and literary critic.
Founds Literary Club Jazzbina, Belgrade.
Publishes his first book Grand Hotel, in three editions.
1994 Joins UN Peace Corps (ICFY Mission) at Yugoslav – Bosnian and Yugoslav – Croatian border, as a translator and interpreter.
Publishes his first novel Slepi putnik, which is proclaimed as one of ten best novels of the year.
1995-1997 After his service, returns to Belgrade, and works as Drama editor for Radio Politika, and director of Documentary programme in Television Politika During that time wrote and directed ninety two original radio plays and radio phonic essays, and dramatised for radio and directed hundred and ninety one prose and poetic works of Yugoslav and foreign authors.
1997-1999 Directed twenty documentary films for television.
Publishes his second novel Opšta mesta (Laza K. Lazarević Prize), radio phonic essays Evropa pleše in two editions (Critic's Choice Prize), and documentary essays Fotografije glasova and Utuljena baština, as well as novel Passager clandestine (Centre national du livre Prize and Centre régional des lettres midi-pyrénées Prize).
1999 During NATO bombing, after criticizing president Milosevic, fired from Radio-Television Politika.
1999-2005 Finished and published novel Album fotografija, duodrama Laka, crna zemlja (with cooperation of Zrinka Dabelić) and novel Pisanje po vodi (with Elfrida Matuč-Mahulja).
