Poets for Human Rights

Words of Freedom

As the stage came alive
With lights,
The lad from Indiana appeared.
With sonorous voice
And feline dance steps
He lifted veil of melancholy
Off humanity
And lifted races high
Above all bigotry.
In return,
Appreciative folks sang
Danced and cheered.
Profit mongers sneered
And plotted for profits.
In their profiteering
They plotted "shakedowns" also
And carted away huge sums
In "out of court" payoffs.
Indiana lad
Now bankrupt left the stage,
But
Moved by their prodding
He returned
To sing and dance,
To fill pockets
Of profit mongers again.
In the struggle
Michael Jackson died,
The lad from Indiana died.

This is a wonderful tribute. It was a very sad day when he died. Michael was a great spirit. And the world is quick to crush great spirits.
